Thanks so much for stopping by to learn more about my photography! I’m Carolyn Ruiz, ocean lover, boy/girl twin mother, and wife to a surfaholic, living in South Orange County, California. Photography and music make my world go round. Shooting special moments in people’s lives are what I love most.

As a mother, I have developed a deep love for capturing those sacred fleeting moments of childhood that we sometimes take for granted, especially when we all get caught up in the day-to-day grind of life. Having two spirited children of my own has taught me to slow down and see the world for the first time through their eyes. I enjoy picking up on their discoveries and innocent sense of wonder and I try to bring this focus and whimsical perspective to the moments I capture for families.

My ultimate photography inspiration is LOVE: the connection between people. I am a true romantic. When I see candid, spontaneous playfulness, or a sweet glance between a couple or a mother and daughter, that is what I zero in on. I just keep shooting. My aim each session is to provide you with images that capture the real moments of love between everyone involved (whether it be a newborn shoot, family shoot or a wedding) just as you experienced it in your heart…. I know! Cue the sappy music! But really, really. Those are the moments that will continue make your heart sing long after our shoot together.
